I love the classics as much as the next guy, but I also love most of the next gen games. Besides, in ten years, games like the Halo and Gears series will be classics, and everyone will be complaining about the next gens of that time.
Anyway, I'll start this by stating what my number one favorite next gen game is:
Halo 3
This is my favorite game, so far at least, because of it's insanly high replayability. you can play any mode against anybody, at any time of the day.

Fail game is fail. Get off the bandwagon before it's too late.
Best next gen game is easily Fallout 2/3

I was one of the first on the wagon, so I don't plan on getting off anytime soon.
Anyway, I can't wait to play Fallout 3 when it comes out. Since it's being made by Bethesda Studios, it's going to have a huge sandbox type area to explore.

Fallout 2 is next gen? 1998 is next gen!?
But yeah, GTAIV is pretty rad.

Fallout 2 was showcased at E3. I doubt it's last-gen.

Fallout 2 is last gen, because it's not on any next gen system.
I have GTA4, and it is a really good game.

Speaking of future releases, Fable 2 is definately going to be a badass game. It has complete unrestrained freeroam, and co-op, just to name a few small things. I personally think it's going to make game of the year, but we have to wait and see.

Saw Mirror's Edge at the E3 broadcast. Looks really cool and innovative. I give kudos to whoever came up with the idea.

Looks cool, not my kind of game. I sold Creed before I beat it, it got old and repatitive. I regret getting it. My fav si far is prbly mgs4 and gran turismo, Little Big Planet is going to kick ass.... but I can't get it till x-mas >_>
FF13 will be cool, we all know a new KH is coming out. Soul Calibur is fun, I might pick up the new tekken as well. Any suggestions for good ps3 games?
Forgot to mention Fallout 3 and Resistence 2 will kick ass.

I am going to buy a PS3 just for the new Resistance 2 and Heavy Rain the most.
I'm definitely getting RE 5 for the 360.
Little big planet if I have some extra cash.
Hey did Fable 2 come out yet? I'll probably get it some weekend after its release.
I plan on also getting Jade Empire 2 when that comes out hopefully late 2010.
edit- Anyone think Biohazard (Resident evil in japan) 3.5 (hooked man version) would've kicked so much more ass then the re-re-released version of RE 4 we have now?
I mean take a look at the fog version and the Hooked man versions.
The fog version only has a cinamatic trailer but our hooked man one has some gameplay. I think they released the Hooked man version in japan only as 3.5... If they did I'ma have to import it.
I ask that because I know it WAS scrapped but I'm too lazy to see if they brought it back.

This.
@skayte, seriously go look for Biohazard 3.5 gameplay, it is actually scary (only if the video is played at night without the lights on. :p)
Oh and my favorite part about 3.5 version, is that you can remap that stupid knife button to anything you wanted...from reload to a grenade per say? Of course you can still use a knife -.-...Also it has a downside of some funky controls it looks like (only real thing bad about it) I'd say it'd handle like the other RE's in the past clunky movements with the camera movements.
The game also has OTS aiming and classic aiming. Over the shoulder is only when your back is towards the camera itself.
Oh and that hooked man is worse then nemesis but slower definitely.

RE 3.5 sounds SICK. I want it nao >< Perhaps I can find an ISO for you guys?
Mind you, this wouldn't be entirely LEGAL.....

Hell if you get me an ISO I can put it into an emulation format for a ps2 comp emulator.
Not to mention I can TRY to translate the game for us.
I'd love an ISO for my Ps2

I just remembered another good game that's coming out soon. Gears of War 2 is going to be quite a step up graphics and gameplay wise from the first game. I probobly won't get it right away, seeing how fable 2 is coming out in a few weeks, but i will play it eventually.

Are there ps2 or psx emulators for the PC?
Or how can I download ISO's and play them on my ps2?

For the pc I haven't searched for a ps2 emulator yet, but I strongly recomend psx_1_13 for a psx emulator.

Well swap magic only works on the fat ps2's so I had to buy it a big fat one. -.-
But I wrote the iso onto a writtable dvd. You need some stupid piece of plastic they sell it on ebay.
5 bucks for a flimsy piece of **** but its the only way to open the tray. Oh and you have to remove the ps2 emblem on the tray for it to work. Basically load the swap magic like any game for ps2 when it prompts you, open the tray put the game in close it by your hand not the blue button to close the tray, otherwise it won't work. Once you close the tray yourself press X and you got yourself a working game. I'm still running the first version of swap magic - -;
something like that anyway.
