Suriya vs Devil! Which is moar annoying?

A recent thread made me wonder what the community thinks about these 2 exocores.

Sure, bat spam is easy and requires little to no effort to pull off (face left/right-> skill butten)
But Suriya can be just as bad with that incredibly random destructo disk and oddly ranged Blind.

So go ahead an vote, and a reason on why you voted for that exocore would be neat.

Souriya just annoys me in Demo. But other than that Devil shadow is the most annoying in all other stages.

I would have to say suriya because even though devil spams u can't move but u can see, when they suriya ur blind for 3 seconds they can combo you and boom die if they play smart with team. Although if 2 on 2 and 2 devils = win thats what i hate LOL id just rather see than not see. like i'd rather see how i die from these hits lol

I am gonna have to say Suriya. I can tolerate being stunned on moon but being blinded I would have to say is more annoying.

Meh, I can still predict the last spot where the opponent standed in and make a quick KP with Stinger to knock them off. Though the afteraffect is quite hard because other peeps can use it to their advantage.

Suriya hands down. Sure the devil can back hit but being blind is annoying, I edged myself on Blacktop because of that blind...

In maps with split fights of 8 like Glacier and Blacktop where it's hard to edge yourself, I say Devil because being blinded, I can just run until it's normal, but if there's a guy sniping Devil, they can get free combos on me.

On small maps like MLV and Risky, Suriya is better because they could accidently jump off, and if they turtle when they're blinded, you can angle grab them. You can angle with Devil too, but the chances are better that they'll edge themselves. =]

Shadow Devil.

While Suriya is annoying when blinded, unless your in a team of 4 or skilled 2 it is very easy to run away when blinded. Though depends on how well you remember the map, and where the last person was standing. if it was an all out war not only you but most of the people around you would get blinded unless they predict to block. As for the discs I am not to worried, just a second disc throw like xero discus. Moonlight may get tricky depending on who you are facing.

Shadow Devil is pretty easy to dodge when 1v1 or against bad opponents, but I find the stun worse then the blindness. Two Suriyas is tricky to escape from but, you can still move after blindness, unless the opponent was close to you , blocking and getting grabbed or jumping around untill the effects are over can reduce damage then just getting comboed on. Two Devils = kill, Panic out of one get hit by the other, then the cycle continues.

Just my opinion on my experience with the two.

Suriya Crystal is really annoying though because i remember on team demo, there was 4 suriya crystals on me ._.

Wouldn't that be a bit situational? I mean, I find the majority of Shadow Devil users predictable in where they will bat. They have a tendency of hitting me with the fist, however, I still saw that coming.

With the crystal, you can be pretty unpredictable as long as you stick with the shine and can continuously knock them down. It's even worse when people are ganging on one person.

I agree that it is situational. And, yes - the "majority" of Devil Shadow users are predictable in where they will bat, but the most effective way for a Devil Shadow to bat is to do so one screen away which would be a hindrance to predict. The range on that exo totally owns that of Suriya's blinding special. Also, to expand on the huge fist special of DS - depending on where you block from (if you block it) it can still hit your back, knocking you down (annoying).

What you mentioned about people ganging up on one person is also annoying and cruel. That's like kicking a person when he's down when it's 2v1!

No. No I'm not. With Devil Shadow I can see where I'm going, and I know which direction to block and what time to use my panic to escape. With Devil Shadow, all I need is a panic and a time to jump, and I can recovery dive my way out of most situations.

It depends on the situation to me. If it's moonlight, I find Suriya more annoying. Devil with it's insane hit boxes tick me off as well in moonlight when I'm fighting someone else. Basically 1vs1, Suriya, anything else Devil.

infinite blindness? its very easy to get away from the crystal. Ive never once been killed from being blind. Occasionally jumping across glacier and the hit, edging me, but never dying from not being able to see. A lot of people also have fail video cards and the shine doesnt display on them. I know 6 people that can see while "blind"

Kay lets see what you do against 2 bats, panicing does nothing whatsoever(unless youre protecting yourself from a ram, but another batshot which inevitably occurs before you can even move will put the situation back to square 1), neither does jumping or trying to guard if theyre on opposite directions, which is usually the case. NT though, suriya is a subpar, moderately annoying exo when the whole other team has it. Id pretty much just jump off any blacktop equivalent map if they all had bats.

Suriyas also only close range blind, meaning you know exactly when to guard, and can hit them before they do it again. Bats has a ridiculously huge range, and can be used from outside another players view.

The only time suriya may be more annoying is when facing a lagger whos using it. When they're stacking sp, and they have hit-lag to where when you block the first blind, they can use another one before you can hit, then its stupid. But facing a person like that head-on is pretty stupid in itself. And as a 1v1 edger suriya is better, but thats about all. Bats still beats suriya, imo, in 1v1 because of the seemingly forgotten punch that can hit from behind upon recovery.

Last note, if youre complaining about the blind making you fail or jump off stages, then you need to pay more attention. Im not even a moon player and i can get to one side from the other while blind and avoid getting edged. Saying its annoying because it made you jump off blacktop is just ridiculous.

Suriya. In moon, you can't see where you're going, so you might walk off the map. With bats, you're stunned, but you know what you're opponent is going to do because you can see.

Gah, Devil Shadow is more annoying for me.

It's true that Suriya is more surprising in both its skills, but I think Devil Shadow's bat stun is SOOO irritating.

Against Suriya, you can at least get the source. When you're blinded, you recover faster than the caster, so it's fun to take the opportunity if you remember where he/she is. It also helps to remember the surroundings for those 5 seconds of pure white light. Suriya's long range attack just knocks down, which doesn't bother me too much.

Devil Shadow's bat attack is so annoying though. It just takes out an entire field off screen and makes everyone sitting ducks. And if the user is off screen, it's going to take a while to reach the him/her. It's hard to jump over it or run around it.

Of course, if there's more than 3 users of any of the above, then it's pretty much hell already.

Being hit by a attack a screen away-Jee, while that's pretty easymode, you can generally sideblock it if you aren't around anybody.

Being blind-On moon, this is a killer. Especially if they have a scroll that can 'catch' or throw far, like Exile, DM...[That being said, I can make a guess on where he is..But oftentimes I see their scroll beforehand and go for the running.(I do a good job at it, too >:3)]

Hands down Suriya man. Blinding is so annoying, and when your in risky, they will blind when your jumping and edge you. And even the disc is annoying. Your there with the guy, and he exos, and your like "oh its suriya, ok i gotta pressure him now." BUT NOOOOOO, THE DAMN DISC HITS FROM THE TIME YOU WHEN YOUR IN FRONT OF HIM AT THE TIME ITS CREATED, AND IT CAN HIT JUMPERS TOO. Dammit man SURIYA IS THE MOST ANNOYING.
