Introduction

Hello again I am here with another guide, this time its just for a scroll which I am very knowledgeable with so I decided hey why not make a guide for it and share my knowledge with the community. This guide is about Muay Thai aka Thai Boxing one of the worlds deadly fighting styles.

Pros:

Quick punch strikes
By passable knee
Perfect for edging
PKK combo best used to angling

Cons:

Short range knees and kicks KKK and PKK
PPPK Combo not so good angling
Bad cooldowns
Drifters will get around fairly easy

Combos:

Combo 1: P*P*P*K Damage [380]
Combo 2: K*KK Damage [395]
Combo 3: PK*K Damage [360]

*= Delay

Juggle Combos:
If launched or Exo juggle

Juggle 1: P->P->P*P*P*K
Juggle 2: P->P->KKK
Juggle 3: P->P->P*KK

Note: These combos have pretty good delays most of the time the average RF player will usually fall for it and those are the damages without str modifiers. Credits to Realus for the dmgs.

Combo Guides:
This section will help you learn how to use Muay Thai`s combos.

Combo 1 PPPK: This combo is most common for all Muay Thai users. The way this combo moves is punch, punch, elbow, high knee. It is mainly used for knocking back and edging off. When using this combo against a good opponent never finish off your combo. The cool down is not as fast and will most likely get you knocked off or killed depending on your health. Now some advantages for this combos can really be a life saver. This combos third punch acts as little knock up. Just enough to line up the knee and send them flying over a rail or edge. To use this combo more effectively don't finish it instead try PPP then drift around PPP as many times as needed. But don't over do it because then you can easily get countered or worse.Other benefits of this combo is its amazing edging ability. PPPK combo is best used for edge maps. Moonlight for example, Muay Thai can be the most deadly when it comes to close edges but I wont get into that. Review my guide about Muay Thai and moonlight stage control. Some strategies you can use with this combo is delays and drifting.

People will always be aware of the same move over and over so don't be predictable mix it up delay, drift or both at the same time. Now angling this can be tricky sometimes, when you're getting an angle setup make sure to leave some room on your left or right side meaning be diagonal from your opponent for your angle to work. This also applys to juggle angling. This combo is not ment for mobs so be sure to find 1 v 1s edge them off one by one till that match is set. But it can be used sometimes to break up big mobs just to knock them down to clear some room to get away if your in danger. If your down on your luck you might wanna use this combo as a last resort to save your skin. For example, say your in a tight situation where mobs will be on you. Now the only thing you can do is use PPPK to get them off your back so what you might wanna do is make sure that you find 1 guy all alone make sure you block there panics and next thing you know BOOM! Over the edge. Now in situations where there are no edges you might be helpless. When you got mobs randomly attacking each other sneak in some hits knock some of there hp out then go in for the kill. Now this combo has it flaws. It might have quick punch strikes but long range kicks can easily stop that so be careful about which scroll to use Muay Thai on. Moving on.

Note: The PPPK combo for Muay Thai is best used for edging. If your planning on using it for regular combat be prepared for one long fight and running around.

Combo 2 KKK: Ah, one of my favorite combos. This combo can actually bypass your opponents kick or punch weather it be a scroll or exo. The way this scroll moves is Knee, Knee, High Kick which is very effective and powerful. The first knee can pretty much get through anything except specials but everyone knows that. Now angling with this scroll is not hard at all, but catching it with your juggle can be A little difficult at times because of its short range. This combo has the best damage out of the 3. Now it has a good advantage when it comes to kick vs punch or kick vs kick because of its amazing bypassable knee. Because this combo is pretty strong you will most likely use it a lot just to take out some hp off your opponent causing him to run or die an honorable death or whatever you guys call it. Angling with this combo is very easy and requires no skill at all, but this angle can easily be missed. Say you and your opponent are fighting head on.

Now if you try and angle the last kick you will miss so sometimes depending on where you are standing. If you feel or know for certain that your angle will land go for it. But then again if there's no edge map there's no reason for you to angle unless it's just for fun. This combo is useful against anything mobs and 1 v 1s, if you can catch a mob with this combo and they're close to the edge, angle just in case they are close to rails or walls. Against 1 v 1s also the same thing. Now the delay for this is pretty long so what you do is K*KK because after the second kick it will go fast kinda like a slow-mo back into regular motion type of movement. This combo has little weakness only flaw in it is its lack of range. But sometimes in the hands of you experienced Muay Thai users, this lack of range shouldn't be a problem for ya'll.

Note: This combo is very useful for all situations. It will guarantee you sure victory in single matches or team battles. Be sure to use its short kick range to an advantage. What do I mean? Well as stated above the Knee can bypass a faster scroll so you'll both end up getting hit allowing you to try and get your combo in.

Combo 3 PKK: Now on to the last combo PKK. This combo can be tricky at times. It may not be used often by Muay Thai users in big games like teams or 8 player singles matches but it is good for 1 v 1s. This combo goes like this, straight punch low kick going into a spinning high kick. This combo can always trick your opponent but that depends on who your fighting. Now this is one of the best combos to angle with, because of its little steps you can get close to any edge without falling off like the other 2 combos that Muay Thai has. Now some strategy's you can use are punch kick drift, wait for opponent to swing or is thrown off, full combo. Now there are many more ways to pull off drifting with any combo you just have to know how to adapt to that persons fighting style and predictions. Now sometimes this combos last hit can miss if your not at a right position so remember leave some room on your left or right to guarantee that your hits will connect.

So now that your angles are perfect, lets try something. Say your in a match where there are big mobs constantly attacking each other, so what you might wanna do is keep distance and sneak in hits just like PPPK combo. Usually in 4 v 4 matches everyone breaks up into 1 v 1 s but once one person is down it starts to become mobish lol. For 1 v 1s delaying with this combo is pretty good chances are someone who hasn't seen Muay Thai in awhile will or might fall for the delay. Remember It is very useful for angling and edging. Now in edging situations this combo works its wonders. Since its angling will barely miss and its lack of forward movement it makes angling look like a piece of cake(Or pie). Be careful though at sometimes during your fight in between the combo you can get blocked lets say PK*K. Don't be worried by this since most of the time the full combo will surely land.

Note: This combo is mainly used for 1 v 1s and Edging. You will see it used by any seasoned Muay Thai user. For edging, this combo will guarantee you a sure win for 50% of the time the average RF player will let go of block in between the combo(Not proven haha).

Controlling All Combos: Now that you've learned that strengths and weaknesses of all 3 combos its time to control them all. Now control is key for any scroll, if you have no control for your scroll you'll surely lose. To control these combos don't always finish combos instead do little spams in between to trick them into unblocking. Your opponent will constantly block if you know that you got this match set. So try delaying hits drift around jump around to force him to unblock. Now when it comes to close edges PPPK and KKK might not be best due to there movement instead for PPPK use PPP cuz it will just knock them up. Now this might not always work because of lagg getting worse in rf so be careful at close edges and stick to solid large platforms such as glacier and all those other melee stages. In short just be unpredictable.

Juggling with Muay Thai: Ah, this is my favorite thing to do with Muay Thai is juggling. Now when you catch someone in the air for example: he jumps you jump, you connect first, he falls, you hit the ground first so catch him with this P->P->P*P*P*K. Now this can be angled if your in the right spot. You can also do P->P->KKK which is sometimes hard to connect but not so good for angling. With PKK you can connect all 3 hits. All you have to do is Delay the first punch then KK. Now if your new to Muay Thai, juggling will be a little difficult. So be sure to learn how to delay cuz that plays a major part in Muay Thai's juggles. Now these will not always happen so what your gonna do is get a exo that knock up like MAS, Ninja Spirit, Heavens Fist etc. Now if you gotta partner that has a launch scroll you can have him setup a juggle for you. But this will not always happen so get a exo that launches up.

Good Exocore Combinations

Now there are 3 good Exos IMO that are perfect if you want to juggle with MT.

1. MAS - Now this is a good bypass exo whether it be 1 v 1 or Moon edging. Be careful as the cool down for the uppercut requires timing.

2. DF - The Flash kick is like a dream. The only timing you have to do is your enemy falling down. Way faster than MAS and its fang special can oddly edge.

3. Ninja Spirit - Very easy to use. In CQB when you throw a star it will hit behind the opponent instead of the front. So make sure to fight people without shells or that big fridge lol. Also as I stated before timing is necessary.

Remember that things will not always work out so keep in mind that you will have a hard time with pros.

Note: Juggling can be very easy or hard depending on your level of skill. Always remember timing is of the essence!

Wrapping it up: Now to wrap all this up into more understandable terms, this goes for all combos.

1. Never finish off combos unless your opponent falls for simple tricks.
2. Make delays your weapon.
3. Angling is pretty tough so be sure to leave some room on either side of you.
4. Never stick close to edges with this scroll.
5. 2 combos of Muay Thai move forward a lot so make sure you are not to close to edges.
6. When angling make sure to leave some room on your left or right for your angles to connect.
7. Drifting with Muay Thai is very easy.
8. Juggling is pretty easy if you're an advanced player. If your not you will have some trouble connecting right.

Final Note: Now that you know how to control this scroll and its juggles your ready to try this scroll out. Always remember to keep distance from edges and stay on large platforms. Also for all combos mix all of it up. Never due the same thing over and over cuz then your just considered a spammer that cant do nothing else.

Conclusion: To sum all this up. There are strengths and weaknesses to Muay Thai one of them is slow cool down and short kick range. But its one the the strongest mid level scrolls available. Remember to use this scroll effectively, drift and delays will make this scroll more deadly and assure you a victory over most scrolls. Be aware things wont always go your way so be careful around pros. And your average RF player.

User Submitted Strategies

This is where everything the user of this scroll has to say about this scroll.

Muay thai is angle-friendly for the most part; just not too much on KKK.
Knees are known for its stun rate
PKK is good to use against drifters since the first K has a very good wide range, somewhat like taekkyon's kicks.
It never hurts to grab; use delays and grabs every now and then. :D (i.e. P-G)

Just in time for me getting MT. Thanks for the guide. Was always wondering what the pkk was for :S

One question, when you're talking about the kicks do you mean it's so fast it can hit in between any punch or kick combo?

Can't believe i didn't see this thread, but i would have to somewhat disagree on some things you pointed out and add some stuff that i feel like you have left out.

I actually have tons of information to add to all of this.

There are also some (alot) of grammar and spelling errors that I can fix as well. I'm willing to run through your guides for the errors and reword somethings only with your permission of course.
