What is a slayer in Dungeon Fighter Online?
The Slayer is a swordsman who uses melee weapons such as swords or blunt weapons in Dungeon Fighter Online. They are the all-around melee class, with good offense, defense, and speed. In the game, the Slayer is constantly battling against the demonic presence in his arm. They can not carry shields due to the demon possessing his left arm. The arm is bound in magical chains to restrain the power of the demon, and the power can be drawn out in order to execute special attacks.
slayer can be promoted to a Blade Master, who trains his swordsmanship in spite of the demon disturbance, and is recommended for beginners; a Berserker, who gets their name by throwing themselves into the middle of a fight and sacrificing their own health to deal damage; a Soul Bender, which can summon the demon in order to provide bonus effects as Dungeon Fighter Online Gold or deal damage.
Getting Started as a Slayer
Like all other classes in DFO, things are going to become very different when you hit level 18, so now let's focus on getting you there. Slayers are a bit harder to level up to your class change than some of the other base classes so you'll need a good selection of skills to survive.
The skills you need to focus on are Ghost Slash, Upward Slash, Thrust, and Wheel Wave Slasher. And anytime feel free to spend your extra points elsewhere, but keeping those skills maxed will make your life a lot easier.
Ghost Slash is a high cooldown, high mana cost devastating blow that deals a very high amount of damage to anything with a good distance in front of you. Upward Slash is a fast knockdown hit that you can combo easily into your other attacks. Thrust allows you to modify your dash attack to hit multiple times, giving you a good amount of damage for a small amount of mana.
Secret Slayer Technique
By knowing the secret technique of slayer, it will become easier for you to level up your character.
1. Command Input: N/A
2. Katana: 4 hits in total.
3. Short Sword: 3 hits in total. Two vertical slashes, and one upper slash.
4. Zanbato: 2 hits in total. Last hit puts the user in super armor status, and forcefully knocks back the target.
5. Beam Sword: 6 hits in total. Dual sword attack in the middle have special effect of drawing nearby opponents.
6. Bludgeon: 4 hits in total. Forcefully knocks back the target on the last hit.
May be used in combination with normal attacks.
7. Cool time only exists for PvP.
8. Essential skill for Blade Masters, especially for beam sword users due to twice the number of additional hits.
