I FUCKING HATE PROFESSIONAL. I DON'T KNOW HOW I GOT IN THERE AT lvl 10 (old character was lvl 19 but mosley found the password and sold all my things) EVERYONE IS LIKE LVL 30 WITH NANMU AND SHIT!

Actually, the majority of people I've played with in Professional have been in the level range of 15 - 25 (on average). They only get there by angle-grabbing like no tomorrow on Dos Palmas and Glacier Cave. Most of the level 30s and up play in Open, at least in my experience playing in both channels.

I logged in for the first time in awhile, got silver in some open game, and was instantly sent into professional.
Sort of makes you wonder how the advancement process actually works. Anyone willing to shed some light on this?
I remember hearing that it was based on your kill/death ratio, but who knows.

Originally they had it based on levels, but with the addition of a new channel it was changed to your win/lose ratio. players who were there before the change were thrown into the new channels depending on levels.
Either way, the system is really broken.

I wish they had kept it the old way. I got thrown into Pro channel at like 10 on my main account. Then got sent back to Semi Pro....then back to Pro....then back...and forth...until finally I've been in Pro permanently so far lol.

Its not just that, alot of stacking happens in pro.
People who put together an team of friends that are almost unbeatable.....and are unbeatable to 4 people who have never met each other all with skill ranging from slim to none. I'm always the last one alive getting beat senseless by 4 people.

Yea the stacking can get annoying.
You should play more in open, I find it more nicer and easier than in pro.

Well that's how you get better. By getting beat up by pros and learning their techniques.

Well that's how you get better. By getting beat up by pros and learning their techniques.I had a lvl 19 in amateur (BenDNFA) until I deleted mosleys Maplestory guild members and expelled all of them for being faggots. So, as revenge, mosley went on my lvl 19 and sold all the items, then bought and resold shit until I had nothing left. SO I just started a new character (BoxOfRain) which got to amateur at lvl 4, semipro at lvl 9, and pro at lvl 10. Now I can't level up worth shit because I have to win A LOT to actually be able to get decent experience.
tl;dr I FUCKING HATE PROFESSIONAL
I'm never going to get nanmu.

Yeah, after you got all butthurt about me kicking everyone off your shitty guild.
I'd be more 'owned' if I didn't, y'know, tell you the password myself.

I've had my account since the release, so I don't remember getting advanced into the other channels or anything x.x I remember being stuck in amateur for the longest time though before there was a professional channel...
They seriously gotta change the damn system >_>
Sieg121
September 14th, 2008, 10:57 AM
lol skayte using the old system like all the old players. Going by levels per channel ftw =s.
Seriously, atleast then when you hit like lvl 15 you get thrown into pro way back then, then by 20 you're forced into open. However, remedy that, ogp made semi pro- stuck players from 13-16 amateur and 16-19 semi then lvl 20+ as pro if you had an account before they implemented the new win/lose ratio promotion crap.
