List the scrolls you have and why you like them.

First off, if it annoys any of you that I made this thread both here and on the OGP forums, I apologize.

Though this survey will be biased by a low response rate, I wanted to figure through means other than observation which scrolls are the most popular for owning. If you have a scroll, list it, even if you don't use it. List them in the order you like them and why.

I'll start!

Old Skool Boxing - I could write a book on why.

Pro Wrestling - Oh look I just threw you off the edge. And you, and you. I dropkicked you off.

Drunken Master - *hic* NEED MORE GROG. WHAR BE MY RUM-FETCHERS? Also it doesn't afraid of anything.

Karate - Badass, underused, awesome, magnificent, super. I love not answering "wat scroll hal" because I don't like being called hal.

Murekwon - Uppercut & Axe Kick. What more could you ask for? I love the kick angles and I loved the ability to do PPPP GroundPound with Strike Force back when it was useful. x_X

Street - Over 9000 cool points just for using it. Plus, I get to use it every time I claim to be bringing out my strongest scroll.

Muay Thai - I got it because I thought it was going to be good but then I hated it. It's just so damn boring, and it has nothing that another scroll doesn't have. Basically Murekwon is a more badass, more fun version of Muay Thai. Low range, too. Blech, I can barely stand using it. The only thing cool about it is the block, but Old Skool Boxing has a cooler one.

Dragon - What the hell was I thinking when I bought this. I won't sell it though. I still play around with it in 1v1s just for the heck of it. This is my least favorite scroll by far.




You can do exocores if you want, too.

Cannon Barrel - Because it's a frigging cannon barrel! And it fits perfectly with my pirate and dock-worker suits. Yes, I have a dock-worker outfit.

Strike Force - Ah, the memories. And even after the totally unnecessary nerf, I still like this.

Xero Discus - Huge waste of money. Should have bought another scroll or Relic of Phantomcore or something.

Capoeira - I love the speed, I especially love drifting with the Juggle starter

Ninjitsu - Soulfighter only, and it takes real skill to match up with the more expensive scrolls

Pro Wrestling - Air-grabbing monster and destroyer of drift

Baguazhang - It is a great feeling when you finish the 12-hit juggle.

Mao Gong - No reason really.... spam is fun I guess

Drunken Master - I love ground hits

Zin Tae Kwon Do - Triangle Kick is lots of fun

Pa Kua Kwon - ....thinking of selling it but I'm afraid I'll want it back someday... I don't like PKK anymore =/

Kobudo - my first scroll and quick recovery, not to mention it's fun pimp slapping people.. i consider people that does 10 hit juggle with this consistently to be pro.. I can only do it at times. lol
Muay Thai - I am Tony Jaa after all; I am obligated to like this XD
Kung Fu - The Smell-ma-nuts kick is awesome
Shaolin - uhh my least favorite, but i like it's angles and delays
Default - it feels good when u kick someone's ass with this! XD
Judo - back grab and ground pound :D awesome counter, powerful-looking punch combos, and nice stun rate
Vale Tudo - Since it's kinda like muay boran, i have to get this.. it's fun and all, also strong.. but I don't like how it's too linear.

Kobudo- Kobudo is to me What boxing is to Grog....I would marry this scroll if it were a person

Guemgangtu- Amazing range, quick knockdowns, and serious 'WTF' when I juggle off ninja spirit. And even more so when I nanmu juggle off ninja.

Karate- A nice, slow, smooth scroll. I conisder this to be my 'Coolest' Scroll, It just looks so damn amazing. I could eat popcorn while using it. If I had extra hands....

Ninjitsu- A fun lil scroll with some decent delays. I don't use it much.



Xero Disk- In my opinion, the Holy Grail of exos. I have yet to find any combo, on here or gem, better then a Xero PPK. Not PPKK, PPK. It's the most useful exo I've found in 1v1.

Heavens Fist- I got it to juggle, it's a lil fun. Not used that much.

Fire Charger- Another unused exo, although I like it. My first exo.

Thunder Charger- I got it just to have an Elem exo, and I dislike it now.

Ninja Spirit- The single most amazing Soul Fighter exo ever, I can't say enough good about this. Two quick back hitting attacks, ground hitter, a good edging attack, AND I get to keep my combo.

Young Blood Wolf- I got it for fun, and that's what I got.

Default Alch Exo- In my opinion, this is the single best exo you can get for an alch Without astros. It's just so much damn fun.

Muay Thai - Every Moonlight and Inferno lovers dream scroll. It's a Knock up ( PPP) and Knock Back ( PPPK ). Angling is great (PKK) and if done correctly drifters basic scroll. ( KK Drift K )

Tai Kwon Do- Spam Those kicks all day. A Burst Mode users dream ( Kick Spam ). Beautiful Kick Range and A lovely Delay ( PK-K) All around hard scroll to defeat.

Muay Thai: MY first carat scroll. Knockback that hits over fences. cool block animation. PKK has decent angling.

*TKD: Got this after MT because it has awesome kicks.

Zin TKD: My first astro scroll. Got it cause of TKD (upgrade)

Dragon: Uhh. Upgrade of Jeet and i wanted jeet so why no go for Dragon. And It has AWESOME FLYING KICK that doesn't afraid of anything.

Shoot Boxing: Kinda wanted a spam scroll. Didnt have enough carats for Mao.

*Jujitsu: ehh.. Cheap i guess.

Vale Tudo: Looked like a good scroll. Stance is ugly though.

*Pa Kua Kwon: kicks hit over fences

Judo: AWESOME counters and grabs. Good delay.

*Kobudo: first carat scroll for elementalists. Got it for launcher.

Shidokan: AWESOME angles angle abilities. Very good scroll.

Pro Wrestling: Good grapples. awesome KPK move

Baghuazhang: got it for its kicks

Street - Its simple. I like simple. <3 Also, the stance looks badass. xD
Jujitsu - A very underused scroll. The punch combo has a good angle to it. Really catch people off gaurd with it. :3
Kung Fu - My favorite kick combo out of all scrolls. Punches are quick and have nice delay.
Shaolin - My favorite carat scroll. The combos just look cool. Kicks are really angleable. <3
Drunken Master(sold) - Jackie Chan = Awesome.
Karate - My favorite punch combo out of all scrolls. Has a lot of variety. Awesome delays.
Zin TKD - Love the angling ability on the pkk combo.
Dragon - Bruce Lee = Also Awesome.
Capoeira - Dance dance! x3
Vale Tudo - My third all time favorite scroll. Combos are a lil complicated but fun to use.
Pa Kua Kwon - Most versatile scroll imo. Watch out when I use it. It means I'm playing serious.
Combat Sambo - Unique counter, high damage, and cool looking launcher. <3
Mao Gong - Kitty cat scroll. I like to think of myself as a kitty cat. xD Nyaa~ X3
Persona - Didn't really like it at first. It grew on me. Also, shares the name of my favorite video game series. xD
Geumgangtu - Gotta love the kp combo. Most useful combo ever imo.
Drunken Boxing - This is such an old school scroll. Nice change of pace. Love the pk and ppk combos.

Drunken Master - Simply because it's the only scroll I've ever used. :p I bought it (Astros and resold, lame I know) just because I thought it looked neat. I know such strategies won't get me far, but I get my enjoyment from aesthetics.

Relic of Phantomcore - Again, bought it because I thought it was cool. It's the only one I have (besides the Soul Fighter default).

my first scroll,
shoot boxing.. enjoyed it alot kept messing with the kG alot :-) was super fun. but in the end didn't like the long combo's, also the launcher didn't do it for me :( too slow to initiate

combat sambo (my 2nd) i rarely play with this scroll, focuses on grabs alot, while i'm more of a drifter kind of person. someday i will master it (when ogp upgrades their servers perhaps?)

my third (and last)
Pua Kua Kwon: totally love it, short easily angable combo's, very fun kG, easy edge kick combo, and delayable guard breaker punch the versatility is just amazing i love it to hell =P

Exo's

Blade spirit: it is what it is, a powerfull yet a bit boring exo,but i look good in it with my black raiden hat ;-P

birthday party: haven't played with it enough to master it, i truly enjoy setting traps with the laying down 'O fire :-P but people are too smart to fall for them.. i like putting it in a group of people though.. muahahha! DANCE!

Vale Tudo: I play with this scroll the most and won me countless Moonlight matches it works wonders.

Shaolin: My 2nd scroll of choice. I noticed that I was getting weaker with MT so I switched off to Shaolin and so far I have been doing really well with it.

Judo : The Counter is amazing the grab is long distance AND THERE IS BACKGRAB. and of most all the hits can delay .

Drunken Master : Very Fast Hitting Style. Foward Throw Is Cool.

Zin Taekwondo : Hits Are Fast And Long Combo. Both Kick And Punch Are Most Amazing.

Shoot Boxing : Attacks Are Very Similar ( Kind Of ) To Default and Regenade.
Very high Delay

Mao Gong : Attack is very flexible and fast... VERY VERY active hits .

[B]Muay Thai ([B]Kick Boxing) : Fighting Styles Are Quick and good at angling.

Vale Tudo : Spamming is great . And Attacks Are Active like Capiero.

Ninja Spirit : Shuriken hits are fast and quick . Kunai's Are Very Delayish.

Blue Skyhorn : Freezing Ice Is A Great Feature to Stop Peoples Movement. Attack Is Very Similar to Dragon Striker .

Xeon Discus : Attack style Are HARD CORE . Spike roll is a high damage.

Heavens fist : Speacial Abilities can hit anyone when on the ground . Great for backstabbing ;D

Drunken Master This is my most used, and my number one scroll ...What can i say? I love this thing as if it came from my sac. The ground pound is so freaking useful. It can be used to tip someone off the edge of a map...or flip a whole group over a fence. The forward grab is crazy..and the ram is far ranged. This scroll has everything I need in a scroll, it even has a juggle launcher in the MIDDLE of the kick combo...Lord....I love this thing.

Pa Kua Kwon One of my favorite scrolls.....I love panic predicting with this thing.All the people I've seen fly over fences with this thing. All the hits on the punch combo can be angled...WITH a far knock-back plus it's fast. It has a super quick juggle launcher...so a lot of people don't react fast enough and not see it coming. Oh how I love pretending to be AFK and juggle launch some person seeking to spawn kill me off the map. Last but not least,a special k+g attack...with invincible frames and a wide hit-box..... fhjaghsdsaVC dsadJW1!!!

Muay Thai Haha, Muay Thai!!! I love it....but then I love all my scrolls. Muay Thai feels so satisfying when you blast someone off the map with your knee (lol wut?). And it's so fast! I love how the kicks make your opponent FLY away from you...and the scroll angles good too. I tend to kill kinda fast with this thing...but all the better.

Judo Dun....dun dun...... HERE COMES THE BEAST! More liek a quiet beast who is actually a vegetarian...but can devour you at any time. Boy how I love this scroll...I'm decent in countering and grabbing isn't all that hard. I love when someone thinks the have me with an attack or nanmu, then *flash of green light* on the floor *kick* gets up *grab* flies off moon. (lol wut?) People tend to fall for the last kick when delayed...I lol when people fly off the map with it. Plus the juggle launcher is smexy...seems so calm, but it can kill you, remember that...

Ninjitsu Best looking scroll in the game...EVER.....even in Gem...there is not a scroll that looks better than this thing. Plus it's not bad at all....especially on moon(most played stage by me) the punch speed is really fast and i liek to spam with it. The last punch BLASTS you back so far. I also liek the p+k combo.

Jeet What's Dragon? I have no clue...but I know what Jeet is. Jeet and Dragon... is liek an iPod and an Mp3 player. Different price but it can finish the same job. When I bought this... I was liek uhh...why would I buy Dragon when I could get Old Skool form. The punches hit you back a decent length...and isn't it faster than Dragon? Idk. But I find this scroll unique and fun.

Vale Tudo This scroll is sick..it has badass written all over it. But oddly I don't really use it a lot , or even liek it.. I'm considering selling it...but i said no... I wanna keep all of my scrolls. But anyways this scroll is beastly at 1 on 1 and the punches have great reach and the kick combo fences, which is good for moon too. The scroll just seems too reckless for me. I regretted getting this one.

Boxing Yes Boxing...Not Chute Bawksing...but Old Skool Boxing. The father, the one that started it all. I love this scroll, the only reason I got this is because of Grog.... lols Since i seen his "Power of Boxing" video I seen how good this scroll can be....Easiest juggle on the game plus ducking and weaving makes it an all time smexy beast. When they think your at the begging of the combo *BAM* you get hit by the launcher *has no control, cannot panic* Plus the reach of the punches seem really far. People will think you have Chute lol.

Lmao Gong When someone is pro with this style it will annoy the HELL out of you.....in so many ways I cannot describe it.

ExoCores

MAS *UPPERCUT* *ROLLING KICK* Doesn't matter....both knock you off of the map. I LOVE this exo with all my heart. Since I play Moon liek an instrument(considering I'm in some sort of band that has concerts every day.) this exocore is extremely useful. You can juggle with it too so the amount of kills with this thing are infinite. One of my favorite exocores.

Baguazhang - Very few scrolls are as all-around versatile as good ole Bag. Also my first scroll, and it was a gift!

Geumgantu - Second scroll. Love that first kick, great KP combo, and the Guardbreaker's fun for the wake-up game.

Drunken Bawksing - Definitely one of my best 'Beatdown' scrolls. Fast kicks, variable punch combo, easy juggle (since I suck hard at juggling).

Pa Kua Kwan - Great edging scroll, and arguably one of the best at pressuring as well. Fastest first attack in the game, so if you and an opponent hit at the same time you can almost guarantee the first hit yourself afterwards. Lots of fun angling with the punch combo, if only I could do it regularly...

Shaolin - Good damage, punch combo's great for pressuring, kicks great for edging.

Muay Thai - Great for edging, generally decent in most aspects.

Avenger - Very damaging combos, absurd knockback on the kG if you can hit it, very fun throw too.

Persona - Ah. Became aware of this scroll's existence less than a week before it came out, and had decided it was the one I wanted. Linear, but fairly quick, good range (especially after the first hit) good damage overall, and by far the most badass looking throw in the game!

I had Jujitsu but sold it because I can't stand scrolls with only one truly decent combo (never liked the KK). Sold Vale because I just couldn't get the hang of it.

Persona Saw it on YouTube, absolutely loved it. Fast nanmu, crazy snake-zombie movements, 1 hit launcher, and pretty sweet kicks have made me use this scroll quite a bit. The grab is great too.

Muay Thai My main scroll. Knocks over fences, semi-good pressure scroll, punishing P-K-K combo, WOOT.

Koroshu Good kicks, easy juggle. Other than that, not too extraordinary. The ram is weird and isn't too useful, and one can simply whore the shit out of the kicks to win.

Kung Fu Words cannot express the ownage of this scroll. The start-up on the first kick is EXTRAORDINARY. No hit in the entire game is faster. The punches are meh, and go unused. No real combos either, but the kicks are still ownage, and the punches can still be used well. This scroll has special meaning to me because it's the first scroll that I got after I got hacked.

ZTKD Fun and spammable kicks, easy launcher, and great knockback on the PPP combo.

First Scroll I ever had, Always fun to learn Delaying with. It's pretty easy to trick people up when you're using the KKPPKKP combo to keep them guessing.

Shoot;
I use this scroll to spam alot when I'm not doing so well with my others. I can do the PKK P P PPPP juggle pretty easily these days, and it's been pretty good to me. The Guard Breaker always good for edging.

Capoeria;
Favorite Two Combos in the game, So fun to screw around with people kicking with this scroll, I have it equipped with Yaki for Extra spam.

Vale Tudo;
Honestly Not sure Why I still have this scroll. I never use it, lol. It's pretty fun to use in practice, though.

ZTKD;
I use this majority of the time because the KK[KG] P P KKKKK Combo is easy to do and it's fun to delay. the PPP has a good knockback, and the PKK is fun to angle with on the glacier bridge.

Persona;
My favorite scroll recently, I had been waiting on this to come out for forever, and it didnt dissapoint me. I love how easily i can do the KP P P PPPPP juggle, and the KG special is fun to use ;]

Main Scrolls that I use/used:

Shidokan - Stance looks cool, those lariat kicks are really snappy and cool.

Murekwon - Stance, axe kicks, uppercut, and awesome.

Karate - Stance is sexy. My first juggling scroll and combos are simple but nice.

Pro Wrestling - One of my favorites. First grappling scroll and it's fun to use.

GeumGangTu - Kick combo (KKK, not the KKPP) is incredibly awesome. Far kick, high kick, and a stomp.

Pak Kua Kwon - stance is similar to karate. I love the shoulder attacks.

Judo - Best sambo substitute when sambo wasn't out yet. A meh-looking scroll.

Combat Sambo - Yes! Insanely cool.

Avenger - it's all style really. I used it more than most new scrolls I've gotten.



Scrolls that I have:

Street - Well it's cheap.

Renegade - It's also cheap.

Jujitsu - It's cheap as well but tad more expensive than the first two.

TaeKwonDo - Cheap as well I guess.

Ninjitsu - Mainly for my scroll collection. An alternate account summed up 12k and I didn't have ninjitsu yet, so I gifted myself it.

Kung Fu - Just thought it would be fun. Didn't disappoint.

Taekkyon - most annoying scroll during the early days of RF. Decided to see what it was like.

Shaolin - RL Friend stopped playing. She had a good amount of money so she gifted me this.

Muay Thai - no reason really.

Mao Gong - hardly used this, looks ugly as heck. Got it to add to my scroll collection.

Vale Tudo - The only "spam" scroll that looked kinda neat to me.

Boxing - Nothing to do with carats, so i traded for this.

BaGuaZhang - the ultimate juggle really appealed to me. This scroll probably what spurred me into doing the ultimate juggle vid (and koroshu). Traded for it.

Koroshu - I hate it. Had spare carats, and traded for it.

Drunken Boxing - other option was koroshu at that time. Just decided to trade for it.

Capoeira - Need to find the ultimate juggle for it. Traded for it.

Kobudo - Meh.

Drunken Master - annoying scroll. I don't like it.

DM(Planning on selling)- Who doesn't want to be drunk? 1st scroll with a juggle launcher and and ground hit for me too along with forward throw.
Ninjitsu(Sold)- Got bored then decided to buy this. The 1st punch spam never got old.
Murekwon(Sold)- Really didn't like this scroll >.>
Old School boxing- One of the funnest scrolls I ever used. I love the 2 hit combo.
Capoiera- Dancing doesn't afraid of anything. Nuff said.

*Capoeira - Love the range on the juggle launcher, scoring a combo plus a ground hit makes you feel all wiggly inside too

*Drunken Boxing - Me first scroll, it be tha scroll I use in me pirate outfit! Nice variety of combos, good angling capabalities, and a modified ram!

*Geumgangtu - the KKK looks soooooo bad ass! Guard breaker is heavenly and the delays on the ppp combo are great too

*Pro Wrestling - Epic, 'nuff said. But seriously, the pressure is amazing and the kicks are hard to panic against

*Baguazhang - Fun to spam, epic 12-hit juggle and the first kick in the kkk combo has lovely hitboxes

*Murekwon - Awesome carat scroll that you never see around. Hawt uppercut and axe kick!

*Mao Gong - Second scroll I ever bought, fun to spam I guess...

*Judo - Just bought it so I could learn to counter better, it'll be sold once I feel comfortable with my countering skills

*Moon Wolf - The very essence of a Soul Fighter! The range and hitboxes of the pppp is to die for, let's not forget the combo breaker either

*Tauren - Awesome for raping crowds, huge pressure and the back-hit is rarely used so no one even knows about it

*Sheep - Confusing to fight, great support for team games as well

*Relic of Phantomcore - The bringer of CHAOS, skelly ray can be used in both 1 v 1 and team battle situations. And it's been known to cause crazy glitches

*Golden Lion - Crowd control, also useful in 1 v 1's with it's back-hit

*Dragon Striker - Coolest looking striker exo, barrel roll and claw uppercut are awesome for causing some chaos

*Devil Shadow - Epic support for team games, the reaching claw special can also score back-hits

*Knight Blade - Best alch exo out there, looks like a bird and the pppp combo has a little bit of everything!

*Iron Armor MK2 - The mecha! It can fire LAZAHS and is quite tricky in the hands of a good player~

*Cannon Barrel - Arr it be tha exo I use with me pirate outfit! Pure bad-assery makes this exo epic

Kung Fu - The Punch combo ALWAYS seems to catch people offguard, and it's quick and efficient. It's pretty good for setting up throws, and I loves my throws. I also like to spam the first kick over and over when I play people who like to BAWWWW and it works EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Shidokan - I got this after Kung Fu because I needed a new scroll for my alch female, and I was pleasantly surprised by how :smilez: it was. Good for setting up angles, and I rock it pretty hardcore, so I shall never give it up.

As for exocores.

Default Alchemist Exo - I've noticed that I can stand up to even the strongest astro or carat exos with this, and I basically used it as a replacement scroll since I didn't have any scrolls for my alch at the time.

Drunken Master: Great Delays and a great cool down if you don't finish your combos.
Pa Kua Kwon: Very angleable and driftable. Great for pressure.
Persona: I actually don't like this scroll. It's too predictable.
Boxing: My best one on one scroll. This is all about pressure to me. I just don't give my enemy a chance to attack. That causes them to block. I'm sure you know what I do after they block.
Muay Thai: It's only use for me is edging.
Combat Sambo: This is how I learned to dominate at the wake up game.
Dragon: I exploit it's delays and juggle at every opportunity.
Vale Tudo: My favorite. It can delay pretty good. It's spammability get's everyone.
Zin Taekwondo: Triangle Kick.
Mao Gong: I use this very offensively.

I never usually post in these types of threads, but here goes:

Capeoira - Easily my favourite scroll because I don't even have to be good to beat people, plus I can easily end things with a ground hit*even with exo combos!*

Pro Wrestling - Easy kill in moon rooms

Judo - Makes me want to practise counter

Mao Gong - First scroll that I bought and loved it from level 14 to level 2x

Ninjitsu - Easy to juggle after I kick people in the air

Persona - Reminds me of Majin Buu and the combos look cool

Drunken Master - Feel pro when I do the kick juggle and nice ground hit

Shaolin - Easy kill on moon and good kick angles

Shidokan - Same as shaolin

Taekwondo - kick confusion

Dragon - Hard to pressure people, but still nice kG

Karate, MT, and Jujitsu - Never used

Kobudo - Only juggle I haven't yet nailed from the scrolls I have

Street - Hate street -.-

I posted a few of mine before but heres the list of what i have now and the short reason why

Taekkyon-Spin spin spin.....nuff' said.....combine with knights blade and you become a spinny whirlwind of death

Karate-Underused, and doesnt afraid of anything. The full juggle just looks bad ass

Vale Tudo-An orgy of punches and kicks. STronger than shoot by 2 points......for the lulz

Muay Thai-Not for the edging but for the PKK Mr foot meets your face....

Shidokan-Teh Epicness

Pa Kua Kwan-Two guard breakers, and combo breaker, 2 hit fast launcher......and wow this bitch is fast

Brawler-Because i LOVED Street.....and this is even better...well....maybe not better but pretty dam close =3

Brawler: Very Fun and possibly the easiest juggle EVAR.

TKD: It's good for when you just feel like messing with people.

DM: I love the grab. It's possibly the most fun to use.

MT: Nobody ever expects the delayed knee.

PKK: Nothing says love like a shoulder to the face :3

Fail Tudo: (XD) Sexiest punch combos in the whole game.

Mao: Spamming people off the edge is just so funny.

Persona: Choking is love.

Shoot: So full of win.

Sambo: Breaking necks and arms is fun.

Sage: TEH EPICS. (Yes, I does have it, I just haven't used it yet XD!)

Sage Master - I don't like it, at all.

Shoot Boxing - My favorite scroll, it's attack range seems a lot higher than other scrolls.

Mao Gong - Not really that great, I only bought it because it was expensive.

Muay Thai - Once upon a time it was said to be the best scroll.. not anymore.

Shaolin - I like the three kick combo, it's fast enough to beat another person in a "who attacks faster" punch-out.

Pro Wrestling - I like the KPK combo, and of course the throw is great.

Avenger - I just bought it because of the unique throw.

Zin TKD - Used to be my favorite scroll, I use it when I feel like kicking.

Drunken Master - I don't like this at all either besides the kick combo, I never use it.

-long cooldown on last hits
